You have the right to request deletion of personal information we hold about you. This page explains how to make that request and what to expect after you submit one. For the full picture of what we collect, how we use it, and your other privacy rights, please see our Privacy Policy.
What this covers
A deletion request can apply to personal information we've collected through our website at youmultiply.com and any other product or service operated by Educative Tech LLC (trading as YouMultiply).
How to submit a request
Use the contact form at youmultiply.com/contact with the subject line "Data Deletion Request."
In your message, please include:
- the email address or phone number you used when interacting with us;
- the service or product your request relates to; and
- a brief description of the data you'd like us to delete. This is optional, but helps us process your request faster.
Identity verification
To protect your information from unauthorized deletion, we may take reasonable steps to confirm that a request is coming from you before we act on it. Any verification we ask for will be proportionate to the sensitivity of the data and the nature of the request.
Our response time
We aim to respond to deletion requests within 14 business days and aim to complete the deletion (or anonymization) within 60 days of receiving a verified request. If we need more time, our policy is to let you know and explain why.
What we may need to retain
We may retain some information after a deletion request where we are legally permitted or required to do so. For example:
- transaction and billing records, to meet tax and accounting obligations (typically up to 7 years);
- records necessary to defend or establish legal claims;
- records required to comply with a court order, subpoena, or regulatory request; and
- non-identifiable, aggregated data used for analytics and service improvement.
Where we retain information under one of these grounds, we'll tell you what we've retained and why.
Other privacy rights
Deletion is one of several rights you may have, depending on where you live. California residents (CCPA/CPRA), EU/UK residents (GDPR), and South African residents (POPIA) have additional rights including access, correction, portability, and objection to processing. See our Privacy Policy for details on how to exercise them.
