2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
We collect information you provide to us directly when you sign up, make a purchase, request a service, or contact us. This may include your name, email address, phone number, billing address, organization, role, and any content you send us in messages or support requests.
2.2 Information we collect automatically
Like most websites, our web servers automatically log basic technical information each time our site is accessed, including your IP address, browser type, the pages you request, referring URLs, and timestamps. We refer to this as "Device Information." We use it to operate and secure the site (for example, to diagnose issues and to detect abuse), not to track individual users across the web. We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies on our website.
2.3 Payment information
If you purchase a product or service, our payment processors will collect and process your payment details on our behalf. We do not store full payment card numbers on our systems. We receive only a transaction reference and limited information needed to confirm the payment (for example, the last four digits of the card).
2.4 Marketing preferences
If you opt in to marketing communications, we retain your contact details and preferences for that purpose until you opt out. We refer to information provided for marketing as "Marketing Information."
Together, the categories above are referred to in this policy as "Personal Information."
3. How we use your information
We use Personal Information to:
- provide, operate, and improve the Services;
- process transactions, provide invoices or confirmations, and arrange delivery of the service you requested;
- communicate with you about your account, your inquiries, and service updates;
- send marketing communications where you have opted in, and respect your choices to opt out;
- screen for fraud, abuse, and security risks;
- generate analytics to understand how the Services are used and to improve them;
- comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms and Conditions, and protect our rights and those of our users.
4. Legal bases for processing (EU/UK users)
If you are in the EU or UK, we process your Personal Information under the following legal bases:
- Contract: where processing is necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you.
- Legitimate interests: where we have a legitimate business interest (such as improving the Services, preventing fraud, or marketing to existing customers) that is not overridden by your rights.
- Consent: where you have given us permission (for example, to send marketing emails). You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legal obligation: where processing is necessary to comply with a law that applies to us.
5. How we share your information
We share Personal Information only in the circumstances below, and only to the extent necessary:
- Service providers: trusted third parties who help us operate the Services, such as cloud hosting providers, payment processors, email-delivery providers, and customer-support tools. These providers are contractually bound to use the information only for the purposes we specify.
- Business transfers: if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, Personal Information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you where required by law.
- Legal reasons: to comply with applicable laws and regulations, respond to a subpoena, search warrant, or other lawful request, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users or others.
- With your consent: for any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect your Personal Information.
We do not sell your Personal Information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act.
6. International data transfers
We are based in the United States, and our service providers may operate in the United States and other countries. Where Personal Information is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled in line with this policy and applicable law. These steps may include contractual commitments from our service providers, reliance on relevant adequacy decisions, or your consent.
7. Data retention
We retain Personal Information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Typical retention periods are:
- Account and contact details: for as long as your account is active, plus up to 12 months after closure.
- Transaction and billing records: up to 7 years to meet U.S. tax and accounting obligations.
- Marketing information: until you unsubscribe, after which we remove you from active lists within 30 days (we may keep a suppression record to avoid contacting you again).
- Support correspondence: up to 3 years, to help us resolve recurring issues.
- Security and fraud logs: up to 12 months.
Where we are required to retain information to comply with a legal obligation or to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims, we will retain it for the period required.
8. Data security
We maintain appropriate administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect Personal Information against accidental loss, unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. Access to Personal Information is limited to staff and service providers with a legitimate business need, who are subject to confidentiality obligations. We apply access controls to our internal systems and use industry-standard encryption to protect information in transit between you and our servers.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you have certain rights over your Personal Information. You can exercise any of these rights by using the contact form at youmultiply.com/contact. We will respond within the time period required by applicable law (typically 30 days). Before acting on a request, we may take reasonable steps to confirm that the request is coming from you.
9.1 U.S. state rights (including California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and Utah)
If you are a resident of a U.S. state with a comprehensive privacy law, you may have the right to:
- Know what Personal Information we have collected about you, the sources we collected it from, the purposes for which we collected it, and the categories of parties with whom we share it.
- Access a copy of the Personal Information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate Personal Information.
- Delete your Personal Information, subject to certain exceptions.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising. As noted above, we do not sell your Personal Information and do not share it for this purpose.
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information, where applicable.
- Non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
California residents may also make a "Shine the Light" request about disclosures of Personal Information to third parties for direct-marketing purposes. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we will ask for proof of the agent's authority.
9.2 EU and UK rights (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you have the right to:
- access your Personal Information;
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate or incomplete;
- have it deleted (the "right to be forgotten"), subject to certain exceptions;
- restrict or object to our processing of it;
- data portability: receive a copy of it in a commonly used, machine-readable format, or have it transmitted to another controller;
- withdraw consent where we rely on consent as the legal basis for processing; and
- lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority. A list of EU authorities is available at edpb.europa.eu; the UK authority is the ICO at ico.org.uk.
9.3 South African rights (POPIA)
If you are in South Africa, the Protection of Personal Information Act ("POPIA") gives you the right to:
- know what Personal Information we hold about you and how we are using it;
- request access to your Personal Information;
- ask us to correct or delete it where it is inaccurate, irrelevant, excessive, out of date, incomplete, misleading, or obtained unlawfully;
- object to the processing of your Personal Information, including for direct marketing; and

9.4 Everyone else
Even if your jurisdiction is not listed above, you can still use the contact form at youmultiply.com/contact to ask about, access, or delete the Personal Information we hold about you, and we will respond in line with applicable law.

Even after opting out, we may still send you service-related messages (for example, transaction confirmations or security notices).
- Tracking and analytics. We do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies on our website, so no tracking opt-out is required from you.
- Closing your account. If you would like to close your account, please use the contact form at youmultiply.com/contact. After closure we will retain information only as described in Section 7 (Data retention).
11. Children's privacy
Our Services are not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK), and we do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
12. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. We do not currently respond to DNT signals because we do not track users across third-party websites and do not use cookies or similar tracking technologies on our website.
13. Third-party links
Our Services may contain links to third-party websites and services that we do not operate. This policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing them with Personal Information.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. When we make material changes we will post the updated policy and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. Where required by law, we will also notify you directly.
