Founders’ AI Build Masterclass

Build safely and helpfully with AI. A one-day intensive for founders and senior leaders, with veteran software engineers present in the room throughout.

VenueThe Silo Hotel, Cape Town
FormatOne day in-person

Most founders know they are behind on AI and don’t have a way to fix it that fits their schedule.

Most founders and senior leaders know their teams are doing things with AI that they cannot fully evaluate themselves. They read about it in newsletters, see what competitors are claiming, attend the occasional industry talk that leaves them more confused than before, and feel behind their peers. The options they know of (generic online courses they do not have time for, or hiring someone to “do AI for us”) do not actually fix the underlying problem.

The problem is structural. Without personal capability, the founder is delegating strategically important work to a team they cannot direct intelligently. They are dependent on people who should be reporting to them, rather than in control of the AI conversation in their own business. The longer this lasts, the harder it becomes to engage personally, because the team’s lead grows.

One day. One real prototype. Senior engineers in the room.

The Founders’ AI Build Masterclass is a one-day intensive in Cape Town. It is led by Louis Barry, with veteran software engineers present throughout—engineers with twenty-plus years of production experience, who have spent the past two years working hands-on with AI-powered development tools.

By the end of the day, you will have built a real prototype of a workflow from your own business. You will have had it reviewed by senior engineers, focusing on security and performance. You will leave with the judgment to direct your team’s AI work intelligently from then on, and a clear view of which workflows in your organization would benefit from genuine automation investment.

Build something real

You bring a workflow from your own business or a software idea you have been thinking about. You leave with a working prototype of it.

Reviewed by senior engineers

The centerpiece of the day: representative prototypes examined, focusing on security and performance.

The Silo Hotel, Cape Town

Hosted in The Wisdom Room, a private glass-fronted dining room on the sixth-floor mezzanine, overlooking the V&A Waterfront.

Senior engineers, not content creators

Most “AI coding” courses are taught by content creators. The Founders’ AI Build Masterclass is taught alongside engineers who have spent decades building production systems and who now spend their days using AI-powered development tools to produce real client solutions.

The team will be confirmed at registration. Each engineer brings a master’s-level qualification in engineering or software engineering and a portfolio of production systems serving paying users.

Louis Barry, Chief Executive Officer, YouMultiply

Louis founded YouMultiply in 2019 to help Christian business owners and standards-aligned leaders turn technology opportunities into systems that actually run in production. He is the inventor of a US-patent-pending method for verifying human authorship in an AI world and has been leveraging AI to help him create solutions since 2023, when he first used ChatGPT to help him develop a production solution that has since served thousands of users. He holds degrees in IT, Economics, and Theology, and leads a senior engineering team whose qualifications exceed his own.

Where we work matters.

The Masterclass is hosted in The Wisdom Room at The Silo Hotel, a private, glass-fronted boardroom on the sixth-floor mezzanine, with views over the V&A Waterfront and Table Mountain.

The Silo Hotel is one of Cape Town’s most distinctive properties. Built into the upper floors of the historic 1924 grain silo at the V&A Waterfront, with its faceted pillowed-glass windows designed by Heatherwick Studio, it sits directly above the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa.

The Wisdom Room itself is private, fully equipped, and arranged as a single boardroom-style table, built for the kind of focused work the day demands. Lunch is served in the adjoining Granary Café.

Designed for leaders making real decisions about AI and automation

This is for:

  • Christian business owners and founders in $5M–$50M founder-led companies
  • Senior operators personally responsible for their companies’ technology investments
  • Leaders who have prototyped with Replit, Cursor, Lovable, v0 or similar, or whose teams have
  • Standards-aligned secular founders who share our commitment to excellent work and wise stewardship

YouMultiply is built on a Christian foundation, which shapes how we think about technology and people. We don’t require our clients to share our faith. We do require shared standards: excellent work, clear communication, wise stewardship, measurable outcomes.

This is not the right fit if:

  • You are looking for developer training. The Masterclass is for leaders, not engineering teams.
  • You want a deep dive on a specific tool’s API or syntax. We focus on judgment and strategy.
  • You cannot commit to one day on site. The on-site format is the engagement.

Beyond the Masterclass

Masterclass attendees have at least two options to build on their momentum after the event.

If you leave with a working prototype that you want to put into production, then engage a Production Readiness Audit: a human-written verdict on whether the prototype is ready for real users, real data, and real revenue.

If you leave having identified a major opportunity worth pursuing strategically, then engage a Multiplication Sprint: a month with our team to find the technology opportunities most likely to multiply your business and leave you with a prioritized build plan ready to execute. One week working side-by-side, in person.

However, there is no obligation; the Masterclass stands strong on its own.
